1. How do I know if my monitor is compatible with the monitor arm?

A monitor arm helps free up desk space, improve ergonomics, and enhance gaming or work setups. It allows you to adjust the height, tilt, and rotation of your monitor for a more comfortable and immersive experience.

2. Do I need to drill a hole in my desk for monitor mounting?

No, as long as it is installed correctly. The monitor arm comes with a sturdy C-clamp and grommet mount, designed to distribute weight evenly and prevent damage. However, fragile surfaces like glass or marble desks may not be suitable for mounting.

3. Can I use a monitor mount on a glass desk?

If clamping a monitor mount on surfaces like glass or engineered wood, it is recommended to use an additional Monitor Mount Reinforcement Plate. These accessories provide a solid mounting surface and spread the load to protect the desk and stabilize the monitor mount. This is particularly important if you’re mounting multiple large screens on a dual monitor mount or triple monitor mount.

4. Is there any way to make the monitor mount a little higher?

If you have a thinner desktop, you could try placing a solid wooden block on top of the desk, between the desktop and the C-clamp. This will add a few inches of height.

5. Can I easily switch between landscape and portrait modes?

Brilliant

Very sturdy and easy to assemble. Has good cable management which is a good bonus if you hate clutter, the instructions are very clear and simple. Highly recommend

The good: Sturdy and hold the screen in place while still being able to adjust easily. Has a place to store the hex keys so they're always there for adjustments.

The bad: The cable brackets on the longer arms are very flimsy, one broke under the weight of a hdmi and power cable.
The base is held by a screw from above (inside the base) which feels like it will damage the table if it's tightened too much.
The arms hang over the back of the table quite a way. You can adjust the part attached to the pole to face forward instead of to the side to reduce how much it overhangs.

Pricey but you get what you pay for!

This monitor arm feels very robust. Its heavy and feels amazing quality. The design is nice too, being mostly black with a bit of white. Installation is easy and you dont need to screw a hole in your desk to use. The arm features good adjustability so it's easy to get the monitors in a position that you prefer. I used this with two 27-inch monitors and they were secured nicely. There is some cable management built in that helps to hide the cables.

Overall, for 129.99, at the time of review, this monitor arm is pricey. However, I feel that the quality of a design is top tier on this. Considering the price of my monitors, this feels like a fair investment to keep them secure and safe. Id recommend this to anyone looking for a quality dual monitor arm. 5 stars.

Finally! Some height!

This thing has a couple of rough edges, like how all the set screws are flat heads instead of hex.. and although they include a nice little a toolkit with the stand a flat head screwdriver isn't one of them.

However, it is very easy for me to overlook little things like that because this has the one standout feature I've been looking for (and failing to find) in other monitor stands. HEIGHT.

I am in a situation where I need to place a monitor above another monitor, I already had a monitor arm for it but it will not go that high. With a this system being based on a 70cm vertical tube it already has double the reach in Z over any other monitor arm, even before adding the arms!

The arms themselves are a pretty normal two piece design with everything slotting into (greased from the factory) plastic bushings and being secured with the aforementioned slot head grub screws.
These then secure onto the pole with a twist clamp.

A nice touch which I discovered when sliding the monitor onto the first arm, is that the tension is set high from the factory. Previous monitor arms which I have reviewed needed quite a bit of adjustment to stop the screen flopping around, this product however errs on the side of a heavy monitor and actually needs backing off a little. This is an easy job with an adjustment screw being located in the end.

There is cable management included, although I haven't quite got that far yet because... my intention when offering to review this item was to get a tall monitor stand, I was not initially intending to mount two monitors on it.
However now that it is installed, well... it comes with two arms, it would be a shame to waste that.

I'm pretty pleased with how this mounted my second monitor with the extra height I've been looking for but seeing how easily it handles that, I think it might be time to take the stand off the ultrawide and mount that on the other arm before I get into tidying up the wiring!
