Item comes in custom "egg box" packaging, all the parts wrapped in plastic and well protected. The contents are the clamp, clamp plate, the arm itself, the VESA back plate, and the screws, studding, hex key and a very good set of instructions.I set it up with a 27 inch monitor I'd purchased recently.There is some serious metal here, as an engineer I'm always looking to see how appropriate the materials are for the job they are being asked to do and I can say with a degree of confidence that the thicknesses and choice of the materials here is absolutely appropriate. The clamp plate alone swings in at 6mm thick (including finish) steel, you can feel from the weight of the arm (including some lighter alloy castings) that there's been no compromise here, I am impressed.The finish is good, an even and attractive application of an eggshell black powder coat, the finish was free from any noticeable defects.Assembly was straightforward, you have a good manual with clear instruction and images (videos available online too), you just have to decide if you are clamping or going "through existing hole". Once that's established it's all very simple. I opted to clamp.The fit to the monitor was spot on as you would expect from the VESA hole spacings on the back plate and the counter springing inside the arms coped well with the 6kg monitor I am using, even extended out. (The arm is rated to 12kg so my "tiny" 27 inch monitor was no real challenge, but it's nice to know it will cope when I upgrade).I very much like the clamp, I have used (on numerous occasions) stands that have either had to be bolted to an adjacent wall or hard fixed to the desk I was using. This clamp gives me the flexibility I need if I decide to move my desk.

A good upgrade to my monitor set up, supporting my 27" Dell monitor without issue. Clear text and graphical instructions with useful QR code links to videos about the adjustment, all well packaged for safe transit, easy assembly.Having for years used a fixed position monitor mount, being able to have the monitor on the sprung mount makes it far more useful.The desk clamp will fit on to the edge of an up to 50mm thick desktop, covering most likely desk thicknesses; alternatively you can fit through a hole in the desktop, again up to 50mm thick. Achieved by using the same base with the clamp in a different orientation.Nice smooth movement of the arms and sensible cable management all combines to give an easy to use and easy to look at combination. You can adjust the spring tension to control the level of movement possible.

This is a good quality monitor arm, which is made with cast aluminum and thick steel parts. It's a simple job to assemble, and the required tools are provided. In use, it has adjustable counterbalance so you can set it to suit your monitor's weight. I had the black version, and the quality of the finish was very good. There are cheaper alternatives around, but the ones I've had before certainly don't match this for build quality and strength, so I do think the price is worth it.
